ARTIST STATEMENT

I create works which have the inspirations connected to the works of the novels written by The Brothers Grimm (Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm) but i also create works that connect with nature and the love of the human body. By adding contrast and intense natural lighting, I hope I am able to create Intense, interesting and somewhat, fairytale like images. I work in both Video and photographic mediums, which work alongside one another, Eventually collaborating the pieces of works together to create an over all look into another world through a lense. Through out many of my works i touch upon mental health issues such as PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), as well as the more positive emotions, such as strength, pride, and happiness. I hope I capture the essence of beauty within my models, as well as the beautiful aspects on the outside of the body.
